Not at all! Kissaluvs wool covers are made of extra soft Australian merino wool that truly feel like cashmere. I, personally, dislike wool directly against my skin (unlike my Husband) and cringe even thinking about wearing a wool sweater without a shirt underneath or having a scarf with the smallest percentage of wool against my neck. However, these wool covers are nothing like this. Trust me! When comparing many other brands of wool cloth diaper covers, Kissaluvs Wool Cloth Diaper Covers are the softest and do not itch at all. Plus, they are made out of organic wool, which means they are hypoallergenic so you and your baby will not be allergic to them.
Are they hot in the summer?
Believe it or not, wool is cool in the summer and warm in the winter because of its breathability and it being lightweight.
How does wool prevent leaky diapers?
Wool itself naturally repels moisture at a microscopic level and can hold up to 30-35% of its weight. Wool that is lanolized becomes a "bullet-proof" cloth diapering system against leaks because lanolin is what makes your wool covers waterproof. These covers are also perfect because you can choose to leave the waist high (tummy sleepers) or roll it down for extra protection and it will fit perfectly around your baby's legs, no matter how chunky or bitty they are. Parents who have heavy wetters (especially little boys who sleep on their tummies) and have tried everything to prevent night time leaks will tell you this is the ONLY thing that has worked for them, except for the Best Bottom Covers with overnight inserts. Parents wished that they knew about wool covers earlier and highly recommend them now to new parents or parents who are having the same issues they had!

Kissaluvs Wool Cover Small (8-18 lbs) $38.00 40% off
What do I use inside my wool cover?
Kissaluvs Fitted Diapers are the perfect partner for wool covers! They are 55% organic cotton and 45% hemp. They are naturally anti-bacterial and have superior absorbency as well as become softer and more absorbent with each wash. These fitted diapers come with an extra snap-in insert for extra absorbency and the newborn size snaps down to fit below the umbilical cord. Instead of these fitted diapers, some parents can use prefolds or flats with extra inserts, etc. inside, but they said it is more bulky.
How often do you need to wash wool cloth diaper covers?
You will only need to wash your wool cloth diaper cover(s) every couple of weeks. Yes, you read this correctly! If the covers are not soiled with poo, you can hang them up to air dry between uses which means less washing for you! This makes all parents happy! Wool covers also smell less than disposable diapers and other cloth diapers with artificial fabrics because wool covers are made out of natural fibers and are antibacterial. No bacteria means no smell! You will also need to lanolize your wool covers because this is what also helps to make them waterproof. Please watch the video below to see how to care for your wool covers. Please Note: Your wool covers would like you to know that they do not like Woolite. They prefer to be washed by hand with tender love and care (without force or agitation), with warm water (not to hot or not to cold), and want to be dried laying down on a towel (not dried in the dryer). Again, feel free watch the video below to see how to wash and lanolize your covers.
